What should I read before taking the course?

We do not expect you to read anything or do any preparation before attending the course. We will cover all topics of PLAB from scratch. If you wish you can read the materials in our online resource library, any clinical examination books, OHCM and OHCS. We strongly recommend that you read the emergency chapter of OHCM (Oxford handbook of clinical medicine.) We would advise not to read any PLAB 2 books or manuals available. Most of them contain mistakes and also may give you wrong guidance.

When should I take the course?

PLAB 2 exam is becoming more and more difficult. Give your self plenty of time. PLAB Right offers an opportunity for you to repeat the one week course for FREE.

We recommend that you take the course as soon as you can. Earlier the better. If you have more than 3 months for the exam, we would recommend you take one week course as soon as possible. You can then practice and read as per the guidance given in the course and attend 10 days course 6 weeks before the exam. Remember the total cost of the course will still be £340

If you have less than 3 months take the 10 days course as soon as you can and then repeat the one week course near to the exam.

You would need at least 3 weeks to practice 300 stations. We recommend that you take the course at least 4 week before the exam and this would give enough time to practice.
